Janna Haymes Massey, age 61 of Leslie, Arkansas passed from this life on Friday, June 19th, 2020 at her home. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on February 9th, 1959 to Charles Othor Haymes and Eliza Louise Clark Haymes.
Janna was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Clinton, Arkansas. She worked as a nurse for LSU and for SCAN (a branch of DHS) before her deteriorating health forced her retirement. She was the kind of woman who always put others before herself and even when sick and in pain, she was more concerned about how others felt. Janna was one of the strongest women her family ever had the privilege of knowing.
Janna was married to the late Jerry Dale Massey and to this union was born two sons, Daniel and Jered Massey. She was a completely devoted Granny to Haven Massey, Karter Massey, Bodhi Massey, Kobe Massey and Brooklynn Jacobs. Janna is also survived by two siblings, Jackie Garvin and Del Haymes. Janna is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Eliza Haymes and her husband, Jerry Dale Massey.
Funeral services for Janna will be 11:00 AM Thursday, June 25th, 2020 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Rick Montgomery officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM Wednesday June 24th, 2020 in the Chapel. Burial will be in Campbell Cemetery near Leslie, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Jered Massey, Daniel Massey, Clay Szitar, John Pruden, Kevin Mayes and Patrick Bennett. Honorary pallbearer will be Jonathan Manning.

I'm so sorry to hear about Janna (my cousin). I remember her as being a sweet person always with a smile. As her obit said, she put others ahead of herself! You all are in my prayers this week as you deal with your loss.
