of Advance, IN

January 25, 1915 - June 15, 2020

Opal Lee Voyles, 105, passed away at her home in Advance, Indiana with family by her side on Monday, June 15, 2020. She was born January 25, 1915 in Pleasant Plains, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Will and Gracie (Brennan) Harris.

She was married to Ted Bo Voyles in Pleasant Plains. He preceded her in death in 1992.

For many years, she worked as an LPN, dedicated her time caring for others. In 2019 she moved to Advance, Indiana to be near family.

Opal loved her family and was devoted to her husband, her daughters, and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening.

Survivors include son-in-law, Don Funkhouser of Indianapolis; Six grandchildren, Danny (Lisa) Pierce of Advance, Indiana, Doug (Alice) Pierce of Deer Creek, Indiana, Greg McLaughlin of Pleasant Plains, Arkansas, Terrill (Anna) McLaughlin of Ozark, Arkansas, Kayle (Karla) Funkhouser of Avon, Indiana, and Kelly Gulhey of Indianapolis, sixteen great-grandchildren, and nineteen great-great-grandchildren

In addition to her parents and her husband, Opal was preceded in death by her four daughters, Joyce McLaughlin, Carolyn Funkhouser, Noba Ann Voyles and Helen Janice Pierce; three sisters; and two brothers.

Graveside services will be Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Putnam Cemetery, Pleasant Plains, Arkansas, with Bill Mills officiating.

Memorials may be direct to Pleasant Plains United Methodist Church, Batesville Boulevard, Pleasant Plains, Arkansas 72568.

We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and social distancing will be observed.

How much u will be missed with that warm, friendly smile. U had a wonderful good life my sweet lady. I love u and may u enjoy all your family members in your glorious place. Love u aunt Opal
