Frances Lowetta Dawson,85, of Bono, departed this life, on Tuesday, May 19, 2020. She was born January 20, 1935 to Bert and Tessie Gregson.

Frances retired from General Electric in 1977 and previously worked at Dupont. Frances lived in Bono for 50 years and will be missed by many, especially for her rum cakes. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Temple Baptist Church. She lived a Christian life through her service to others by sending cards, cooking meals, calling and visiting the sick and elderly.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents; the love of her life, Winston Dawson; 3 brothers, Lloyd, Leon and Butch; 3 sisters, Helen Dorris, Ludean Harrison and Loma Garner.

Frances was the mother of Carole (Jerry) Edgar and Colleen (Bill) Goodson of Bono, Connie Lee of Jonesboro and Kyle (Kristin) Dawson of Newark, TX; 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.

There will be a private burial at Trinity Cemetery at a later date. A memorial page will be created on Facebook to leave any memories or stories you wish to share.

Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

I Loved her so very much she was my sister in law for years and she was such a wonderful person in so many ways. So kind to others and never meet a stranger. Loved life and she loved her family More than words can say. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. Love you TT.

I cut her hair for years. She was my friend and family by choice. I loved her values and what she stood for. Not many like her. Was a wonderful but also the part I could relate to. I'm a better person because of her. Loved her muches. See you someday my dear friend❤

I lived Bono on the street behind Frances for many years and I had the privilege to visit with her several times. She was such a sweet lady and we had lots of laughs. She made me several of her famous Rum Cakes. Prayers for the family during this time of loss.

Carole, I hope you remember me from our years at the bank. I am sorry to learn of the passing of your mom. I recall meeting her years ago ; she was a very kind lady. You two always had a close sweet relationship. I wish you peace and comfort at this sad time.
