My mother and I delivered Meals-on-Wheels to Mr. John every other week for the last few years (until the recent pandemic), and he would always take time to let us know how he and his family were doing. He was very sweet and we'll miss seeing him. We are very sorry for your loss.

The Bible calls death an enemy. (1 Corinthians 15:26). I’m so sorry for your loss. May the God of all comfort help you during this difficult time. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4 & Psalms 83:18). Jesus prayed for God’s Kingdom to come because He knew it would be able to solve all mankind’s problems even sickness and death. (Revelation 21:4,5 & Daniel 2:44).

When John went home to be with the Lord I just know the Heavens opened up and the many angels circled around John as he ascended into heaven! It was an honor to call John my friend! He will remain etched permanently in my heart and many others! Until I see you again, your presence on earth will be missed🙏❤️

It was my great honor and privilege to know John as my friend. He was kind and compassionate to all that knew him. He will now be in Heaven to see all of his family members that have gone before him. May God's Grace and Peace be with his family and friends.

Amongst Uncle John's many virtues and qualities, two always stood out to me. Both are found in the Beatitudes. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. Blessed are the Pure in Heart, for they shall see God. Uncle John pursued God with a passion all of his life. Jesus said, unless you become like a little child, you will never see the Kingdom. John had a heart that was tender, teachable and pure. We can never know the depths of pleasure that God receives from John's journey of love and his pursuit of God's presence. Uncle John was someone you could trust with your life, for he stood for integrity and sacrifice.
Brian and I have many fond memories of his visits. One in particular still makes us giggle. We were at the Moscow State Circus in Russia in the early 90's. We were all seated in the front row of the arena. A clown singled John out to tease with attempting to pour a bucket of water over him. John, playful as ever and with a childlike heart, took the bucket away from the clown and started chasing Him with it! This was not in the script and the whole place was in stitches. Another time, he and Aunt Dot were visiting us in Devon, in southern UK. We attended church together on Sunday at the local Anglican Church. It was a very formal service. John was moved by the message and the sung liturgy. Afterwards he grabbed the priest and hugged him, and said 'Love ya Brother.' The priest was shocked beyond belief! I am sure he still tells the story. What is amazing, is that this little village we spent time in has seen revival! I believe John's Love is that contagious!!
When John was in the room, everyone knew it. We will all miss him so much. He holds a place of great love and respect in our lives.

It is with deepest sorrow and sadness that I write this tribute to you. My uncle loved his family he was devoted to his children and to my Aunt Dorothy his wife.
You were an uncle in a million; humble, kind, loving, caring and good at heart and soul.!!!. You always shared the word of God to those wanting to listen.
You touched so many lives by your selfless and countless acts of kindness, always giving and never expecting any favors in return.
You were and will always be an inspiration to me. You have left a void in the family that will never be filled.
As you sit in the arms of the Lord, your family, friends and colleagues mourn your death. It’s all right as each of us have the Lord beside us as we say our farewells. Your body might be gone from this world but your spirit will live on in our hearts forever. We each mourn you in our own way as we pay a tribute to you.
We will cherish every single moment we spent with you
You were a great uncle and a great father whenever I visited you I was always met with a big hug and a warm smile. You were kind, hospitable, loving and generous, and we all loved you very much.
I don’t know what else to say about my uncle except that I was extremely fortunate to have him as my uncle and now that he is gone, I miss him. Rest in peace, in the arms of the angels, as they carry you to heaven.
While we each mourn, we also take comfort in the fact that your mission on earth has been fulfilled. We thank the Lord for your life and bid you farewell until we meet again
May Our Lord comfort and sustain your family, now and always. May God Almighty keep you safe resting in perfect peace till resurrection day

I am John’s granddaughter from his deceased daughter, Mary Lou Fromm. I’ve been living in Michigan for 2 years now but came down to Arkansas on the afternoon of the day that he passed. He was an amazing grandfather and an awesome person all-around and he will be greatly missed. His personality was fun but serious at the right times and he loved going out and doing things.
I love you grandpa, I can’t wait to hear all about heaven.
