Mary Elizabeth James, 73, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 26, 2020. She was born in New Madrid, Missouri on August 25, 1946 to Ted James and Rosena Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ted James; three sisters, Linda Pruitt, Sue Ward, and Becky Billingsley.
Mary was a secretary for a professor at Auburn University when she pursued her education at Auburn and received a Master's Degree in Sociology. She became an adjunct professor at the University of Phoenix, Everest University Online, and Grand Canyon University. She was a minister and evangelist since she was 21 years old. She dedicated her life to education and ministry.
She is survived by two sisters, Nancy McGill and Priscilla I. Holloway; and a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Old Salem Cemetery in Gravesville, Arkansas under the direction of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home. The Reverend Gary Mitchell and Steve Reedy will be officiating.
