Darlene and Steve, I was friends with Ron for over 35 years and it started when he lived in Knoxville and had Knoxville Truss. That's been a long time ago and a lot of adventures along the way. He dated my mother in law, Stella, and had a trophy made for her that read "To my sweet momma from your Big Daddy I have to smile as I type this because I can hear him saying that with that boyish smirk on his face. We experimented the amazing cabin he had at Ozone with the music piped in all down the side of the property. Everywhere you went you had music. He painted our barn one time and it was a big barn. It was a little more than he expected but he found a spray paint gun and got it done. He made a railing and shelf all along the top in our living room. That was another deal. He did a great job but definitely worked on his time frame. There is no telling how he is remodeling heaven right now. Larry and I really enjoyed some good times with him and loved him. He was a character alright!!! The last time I saw him was at the Clarksville Rehab Center and he was beginning to have dementia. I would have to remind him who I was sometimes. Once he connected though he had to show me his mineral rocks, eagle statue and his other treasures. So sorry for your loss I'll never forget Ron Pilling. Fly high my friend, until we meet again!! Lori
