Doyle Dean Melson, 88 of Clarksville, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020 in Clarksville. Mr. Melson was born December 21, 1931 in Ozone, Arkansas to Mr. Virgil and Lillian (Bump) Melson. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Mozelle Atkins and Mildred Turner; brothers: Paul, Elzie, C.W. and Virgil; two grandchildren: Marcus Melson and Lacie Peoples; nephews Wayne, Dayne, and Darryl Melson.
Doyle served our Nation in the United States Army during Korean War. He retired after 27 years from Boeing Aircraft, self employed US Mail Contractor, REA Electric Meter reader, Cattle farmer, and owner of Ozone Trading Post for 10 years. A golden Glove Champion in 1951.
Mr. Melson is survived by his wife of 63 years Mary (Oberst) Melson of the home; three daughters: Deborah Sue Melson, Brenda Kay Wiewal (Jerry), and Susan Desiree Melson; one son Michael Dean Melson; one brother Eugene Melson; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
