Billy Max ''Pappy'' Trammell, 89, of Jonesboro, passed away Monday, April 13, 2020, at the CNC Nursing Center. He was born June 22, 1930, in Jonesboro to Willie and Mae Trammell. Billy graduated from Nettleton Schools and worked for Frolic Footware, General Electric and the Arkansas Service Center. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Billy enjoyed spending time with his family and mowing his lawn.

Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Shirley Davis; and brothers, Dale Trammell and Bobby Trammell.

Survivors include his loving wife of seventy years, Betty (Bennett) Trammell; son, Jimmy Don Trammell and wife Janis; grandchildren, Dondra Trammell Fite and husband Eric, Justin Trammell and wife Jennifer; and great grandchildren, Madelynn, Ellington and Conlee Fite, Harper and Harrison Trammell.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Craighead Nursing Center for loving on Pappy.

Funeral service will be private due to the CDC regulations.

A memorial service may be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.

Pap.. Its one of your girls from CNC. Its a lot to say but I'll keep it simple. Fell in love with you guys the day you brought Betty to us. You always had a smile on your face no matter what. Hate to see you leave but keeping you here with us is selfish. God Gained a good one for sure.You will always be OUR pappy-o❤❤❤. Love you❤❤

Pap, he was a pretty amazing guy, the staff and I at CNC fell in love with him and Betty upon admission. She will always be our Mammy and he'll forever be our Pappy. We love him and will miss dearly. ❤️
