Janie was possibly one of the funniest people I ever met. She was definitely a champion for kids and animals. Janie and I had some fun times, mostly in the process of taking care of our pets or discussing politics. I think everyone who knows her has a great "Janie Story"! She made the days at Angie Grant more interesting. I am saddened to hear about this loss, and I know she is definitely happy to be joined with her sister and family.

I taught with Janie at Angie Grant Elementary. She was always a sweet lady who had a heart for students. She had a zest for life. I will always remember her laugh, her sense of humor, and the big smile she wore on her face.

I just adored Ms.Brothers!
I looked forward to helping her and the other teachers prepare their rooms every summer. She loved her students...I had Mrs.Harden in 2nd grade, but remember Mrs.Brothers very well.

Ms. Brothers was one of my favorite teachers! She was so kind and caring. She always smiled and made each student feel loved. I spoke to her just a few times as an adult and she still made me feel that way! She was a very special lady!

Mrs. Brothers was one of kind! She had a unique sense of humor for sure. The one thing I remember her for was how she would correct someone on how they said “picture”. The other thing I remember about her was her 4 color ink pen she used in the classroom.

Mrs. Brothers was an amazing teacher. I was honored to be one of her students. She showed us just how loving and caring a teacher can be. She was the main reason I wanted to become a teacher. I’m saddened that she had no family.

Janie,
What a wonderful lady! She was always intrigued by watching the boys play at recess. She never had children of her own , so she was enthusiastic about how they learned and played. She loved animals and would care for strays that wondered up at Angie Grant. She wore short sleeves year round...that I will never forget!
I know Janie is so happy to be joined with her sister in Heaven. She loved being an educator.
