Cheng Xiong, 64, a resident of Havana, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020, in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

He was born November 27, 1955, in Xayaboury, Laos to the late Chia Vang Xiong and Pa X (Thor) Xiong. He was a Hmong refugee during the Vietnam War. Cheng worked as an auto mechanic, assembly line worker and most recently as a poultry farmer. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and most importantly spending time with his family. For the past several years Cheng has been fighting numerous diseases. He has been dealing with kidney failure, where he had to be on dialysis, recently a leg amputation along with many other complications. Through all of this Cheng would fight through anything that got in his way.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Chou Chai Xiong.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years of marriage, Ze (Yang) Xiong of Havana, Arkansas; a son, Tong Xiong and wife, La Moua of Havana, Arkansas; two daughters, Gao Yee Xiong and husband, Al Yang of Minnesota and Vannesa Xiong of Havana, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Yi Kong Xiong, Juleena Xiong, Carter Xiong, Ivory Xiong and Emily Xiong and two brothers, Sai Koua Xiong of Fresno, California and Song Yee Xiong of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will begin on Friday, May 22, 2020, at the North Logan County Fairgrounds in Paris, Arkansas and conclude on Sunday, May 24, 2020, at Atkins City Cemetery in Atkins Arkansas under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
