Charles Smith, age 70 of Yellville, Arkansas passed away Friday March 6, 2020 at his home.
Charles was born April 17, 1949 in Gassville, Arkansas to the late Howard and Zella Berniece (Hudson) Smith. He had been a manager in the trailer department at Ranger Boat Company, working there for 46 years. He served his country in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, home built gyros and helicopters and hot rods.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Linda Sue of the home; two children: Rhonda Smith of Mountain Home, Arkansas; Jarrod Smith (Elizabeth) of Gepp, Arkansas; grandsons Logan Smith, Caleb Smith, granddaughter Kimberly Hammonds, and sister Jeanie Douglas (Jerry) of Mountain Home, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers: David, Howard Ray, Randy, and Phillip Smith, and one sister Kathryn Surfus.
Visitation will be Noon - 2:00 pm Tuesday March 10, 2020 at Believers' Cowboy Church in Flippin, Arkansas.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday March 10, 2020 at Believers' Cowboy Church in Flippin, Arkansas with J.W. Ott and Heith Hogan officiating.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery with military honors by the United States Marine Corps.
Pallbearers will be Doyle Hall, Tommy Cheek, John Payne, Stephen Smith, Charlie Crandall, and Greg Hopper,
Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Cooper, Glenn Blacksher, Jerry Douglas, Shurden Sallee, Leonard Walters, Joe Williams and all his other friends who are too many to mention.

Charlie was a good guy. I remember once when deer hunting he came through the woods where I was on a stand: it was a very cold day and he helped me build a fire.

I worked with Charlie for 16 years in the trailer shop and he was more of a friend than a boss to me prayers for his family cause has prayed for me and my family so many times he didn't hesitate to pray when I ask him it didn't matter to him where we were at .He was and is a great man.charley I will miss you.
