Evelyn Sue (Jones) Washington, 81years, 1 month, and 18 days, of Wideman, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020.
She was born January 12, 1939 in Melbourne, Arkansas to Andrew Jones and Maude (Hodge) Jones.
Sue was a member of Melbourne Church of Christ. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed working word puzzles and word searches. She also enjoyed working in the yard and loved her cat. Evelyn was also a nurses aid and cook for ten years at Calico Rock Medical Center after she worked for Baxter Labs in Mountain Home.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years whom she married on July 28, 1957, Joe Washington; two sons, Michael Washington and Tommy Washington, both of Wideman; daughter, Susan Hamby of Wideman; two brothers, Ellis Jones (Jackie) of Mt. Home and Bobby Joe Jones (Ilene) of Grandview, Washington; four sisters, Helen Felton of Mountain View and Betty White of Cullman, Alabama, Wanda Fisher (Roger) of Mountain Home, Shirley Grimes of Batesville; four grandchildren, Rusty Hollenbach (Missy) of Wideman, Kayla Jo Hamby of Wideman, Ashton Washington of New Edinburg, Jonathan Washington of Jonesboro and a great-grandchild, Kade Yancey, many nieces and nephews and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Woodrow Jones; and one sister, Nina Lee Smith.
Pallbearers are Shelby Qualls, Bryan Phillips, Allen Love, Sanders Lee Wyatt, Joe Cooper, and Ryan Lloyd.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00pm Friday, March 6, 2020 at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Melbourne with Danny Brightwell officiating. Burial will follow at Wideman Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Memorials may be made in her honor to a charity of your choice.
