Leonard Eugene Anseaume Jr., 72, of Little Rock, passed away January 21, 2020.

Leonard is survived by his son, Sean Anseaume; grandson, Brandon Anseaume; and sister, Joannie Tindall (Jerry); nephews, Justin Tindall (Jennifer) and Bryce Hilton; nieces, Jessica Mcadoo and Belinda Hilton; great niece and nephew, McKenzie and Easton Mcadoo; and cousin, Frank Anseaume. He also leaves behind the 41-year love of his life Connie Simmons, whom he regretted never marrying.

Leonard served in the Air Force in the Southeast Asia campaign/Vietnam. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and Past Master. He enjoyed scheduling fund raising events for Rainbow Girls.

Leonard was a 20-year retired Little Rock Police officer; his nickname was ''The Rock''. He had quite the personality.

Leonard loved history, old movies and animals; his history knowledge was amazing. He donated regularly to the Humane society. He took joy in helping monetarily the neighbors and his former wife, Ellen Shaddon.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd, North Little Rock, AR 72116. Visitation will be one-hour prior. Burial to follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.

Donations may be made to the VA Hospital, Animal Shelter, or Humane Society in his name.

The family appreciates the Little Rock VA hospital/Hospice. They were very kind, helpful and supportive during this time.

Barbara and I send our sincere condolences..in the short time I knew Leonard, he always liked to tell stories about his time in the military. It's sad to lose him, but he is with Mom and Dad now and not suffering..special prayers for the whole family especially Sean,and Brandon. We love you all
