Ellen Ophelia Turner, 90, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at the Compassion Life Center. She was born January 3, 1929 in Jonesboro to Roy H. and Flora E. Bradley Sullins. She was a homemaker and a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. She loved gardening, arts and crafts, and being a wonderful mother.

Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 58 years, Delbert Turner, Sr.; and two sisters, Wanda Pool and Mimi Cox.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Delbert (Judy) Turner, Jr.; daughters, Tina (Bo) Gandy, Judy (Bud) Dunn of Conway, Joy Nuggent, and Becky (Terry, Sr.) Shipman; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and way too many to count great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1 pm Friday at Nettleton Cemetery with John Freeman officiating.

Gene Turner, Brad Turner, Tommy Haney, Clifton Dillin, Terry Shipman Jr. and Jason Rodatz will serve as pallbearers. Jake Shipman, Ryan Reddick, Grayson Reddick, Terry Shipman Sr., Bo Gandy, Bud Dunn, Larry Dunn, Bob Dunn and Judy Turner will serve as honorary pallbearers.

No visitation is scheduled. Arrangements under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
