Thoughts and Prayers to the Lamb Family

I send my sympathies to the entire Lamb family. The thing I will always remember most about Jerry is that he always appeared bigger than life to me. He conducted his business life with the high expectations one would expect to come from the Champion he was . He will be missed.

It was my honor to have known Mr Lamb through working with him at Riceland Foods... He was very dear to me and I am heartbroken. My thoughts and prayers are with his wonderful family.

I met Jerry Lamb around 1966 or '67 when he came back to Fayetteville during the off-season in football to workout with the Arkansas Razorback football team. I just admired him from a distance, as he had been my hero when I was in high school. Then I had the privilege of getting to know him well in Little Rock over the past, say, forty years. All of us who knew him recognized he was an exceptional man. He played larger than life on a football field, running his business, raising his family ā" and just knowing him was our honor.

Our thoughts and prayers to the family during this difficult time.
