David D. Payne, 71, of Batesville died October 30, 2019

He was born in Batesville on November 2, 1947 to Sammie J. Payne and Vernice (Nelson) Payne Johnson.

David was a strong willed man and an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, and ride four wheelers. He was a hardworking man that worked at ConAgra for 27 years and loved spending time with his friends.

He is survived by one son, David E. Payne (Christine) of Tinley Park, Illinois; one brother, Danny Payne (Kristi) of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; and three grandchildren, Josephine Payne, David Payne, and Macaila Britton.

David is preceded in death by his parents.

Honorary pallbearers are Ralph Meyers, Harold Jacobs, and Rusty Humzeker.

Graveside services will be Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Barnes Cemetery in Bethesda with Patrick Hancock officiating.

Visitations will be at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville from 11:00am - 1:00pm prior to the service.
