Gary Wayne Rogers, age 73, of Battlefield, Missouri formerly of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Sunday October 13, 2019 at his home.Gary was born in Harrison, Arkansas October 7, 1946 to the late J.D and Lucille (Young) Rogers. A 1964 graduate of Pyatt High School, he was a car salesman with Pinegar Chevrolet for 25 years. He served active duty with the United States Army Reserve. His hobbies included horseback riding, reading and gardening. He was a loving husband, son, brother, and uncle.Mr. Rogers is survived by his wife Brenda (Smithson) Rogers of the home; one brother Larry Rogers and his wife, Diane, of Darby, Montana; one sister Vicki (Rogers) Prowett and her husband, Randy, of Yellville; his mother-in-law Wilma Smithson; his sister-in-law Kathy Adams; his nieces: Amy Methvin, her husband Kanyan, and their kids Abby and Raelee; Michelle Hichney and her husband, Johnny; Shanette Loggins and her husband, Chris; Baylen Adams; Madison Carlton and her kids Silas and Waylan; Christy Rogers; his nephews: Justin Dearmore; Matt Dearmore and his wife, Ying Ying; Wyatt Rogers his wife, Melissa, and their kids Brooklyn and Cash; Justin Hichney, his wife, Cara and their daughter Haven; Jessie Hichney and his wife, Tiffany; Cody Hichney and his wife, Danielle.He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents Elmer and Flossie Rogers; and Everette and Effie Young; and his father-in-law Darwin Smithson.Graveside service for Mr. Rogers will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at Patton Cemetery near Pyatt, Arkansas with Jack Smithson officiating.Pallbearers will be Justin Dearmore, Matthew Dearmore, Justin Hichney, Kanyan Methvin, Johnny Hichney and Randy Prowett.Arrangements are by Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas.Memorials may be made to Patton Cemetery Association, c/o Kathy Jefferson, 11524 Highway 62W, Harrison, AR 72601.
Brenda - Larry and Vicky I am so sorry to hear of Gary passing away. I wanted to come down but just could't. I am thinking of everyone and in prayers.
