Kenneth Melvin Zimbelman, age 91, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2019 in Searcy, Arkansas.

Kenneth was born on June 8, 1928 in St. Francis, Kansas. The son of Emil and Anna (Lampe) Zimbelman.

He was married to Deloris Wolbach on June 26, 1949 until 1996, and had two children, Victoria Lynn and Judith Ann. The family moved to Garden City, Kansas in 1956, where Kenneth worked as a Radio Engineer for the Kansas State Department of Transportation. He retired in 1990. He and Deloris owned and operated Steve's Sewing Center and Radio Shack.

Kenneth was a member of the First Christian Church, where he served as an elder, chairman of the board, and sang in the Chancel Choir.

In 1999, Kenneth married Suzie Bone and they lived in Ozark, Missouri before moving to Fairfield Bay, Arkansas.

He enjoyed fishing, traveling, working with electronics, spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Deloris. Survivors include his wife, Suzie Zimbelman, daughters; Victoria Lynn Wheeler of Hugoton, Kansas and Judith Ann Pollman of Manhattan, Kansas, two step-children; Lance Thompson and Sandye Needham, eleven grandchildren; Tod (Carolyn) Hooker of Shawnee, Kansas, Stephanie (Wes) Strode of Parker, Colorado, Kelly (Ric) Jackson of Beaverton, Oregon, Summer (Curtis) Claar of Manhattan, Kansas, Mike (Sinae) Hooker of Hugoton, Kansas, Max (Laura) Wheeler of Wichita, Kansas, Margo (Brian) Shelton of Hugoton, Kansas, Elley Thompson, EmaSue Thompson, Kristen Needham, and Alex Needham,15 great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 12, 2019 in Fairfield Bay at the Fairfield Bay Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Woodrow Baptist Church, 2840 Prim Road Prim, Arkansas 72130, the Fairfield Bay Baptist Church, 481 Dave Creek Parkway, Fairfield Bay, Arkansas 72088, or Arkansas Hospice, 410 North Apple Street, Searcy, Arkansas 72143.
A graveside service will held at a later date in Garden City, Kansas.
