of Benton, AR
August 5, 1937 - September 3, 2019
Mary Louise Himes, age 82, of Benton passed into the loving arms of her Savior on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 in Bryant. She was born August 5, 1937 in Prescott to Hernon John and Inez Waldean Hardy Biggers.
Louise was a member and faithful attendee of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a beautician for over 30 years, owning and operating "The Hair Station." Her passions in life included doing hair, yardwork and in her earlier years, camping on the lake with friends. She loved the Lord and could be described as the sweetest and most kind woman you would ever have the pleasure of knowing. Louise was a friend to many and was always energetic and encouraging to anyone she met. She will be missed but her memory will be cherished and her legacy will continue on through those who loved and cared for her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Himes; and her brother, Jerrell Biggers.
Louise is survived by her son, David Himes and his wife, Dana; two grandsons, Matt Himes and Mark Himes; and many other extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home, 306 S. Main Street, Benton. A visitation and time of fellowship and remembrance will be Friday, September 6, 2019 at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Entombment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander.
David and family,
You have my deepest sympathy and will be in my prayers. Your mother was so sweet and my mom always enjoyed seeing her. She will be missed! God bless!
I worked with Louise at Westside Pharmacy. She was one of the sweetest and kindest people I've ever known! So sorry for your loss!
Dear David and Family,
I am so sorry to hear about Aunt Louise. She will always be in my heart. I will never forget the Summer spent in Arkansas. It is still talked about to this day and will never forget. I know she is in heaven with Uncle George. It's too bad our families live so far apart. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Love always from Pennsylvania!
Jackie (Himes) Jerry, and Alyssa Smart
David and family, I am so sorry to hear about Louise. I have such fond memories of her and George going back to childhood. I'm sure there was an angelic celebration welcoming her into heaven in her new body greeted by family and friends. She'll be missed here! Thinking of you all.
Love,
Vicki, and Joe too!
David,
Prayers for your family. I remember many great times with your Mom & Dad while we made many boyhood memories as we grew up. So glad there is much reason to celebrate her new healthy body.
