Marvin E. Allen, age 66, of Everton, Arkansas passed away Friday, July 19, 2019 at his home.

Mr. Allen was born in Harrison, Arkansas February 8, 1953 to the late Carl and Maxine (Johnson) Allen. He was a lifelong resident of the area. He worked as an Engineer for Union Pacific Railroad for 30 years. Marvin enjoyed talking about his years working at Union Pacific, visiting his friends, neighbors, and family, gardening, and helping others.

Marvin is survived by his son Brandon C. Allen and his wife, Amber, of Lowell, Arkansas; three sisters: Mary Sue Gilliland, Patsy Edmonson, both of Yellville, Arkansas; Connie Ingram of Bethel Heights, Arkansas; and two grandsons: Hunter Allen, and Peyton Bauer.

He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Maxine Allen, his brother Mike, and his son Corey M. Allen.

A Graveside service will be held 11:000 am, Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Patton Cemetery in Pyatt, Arkansas.

All I can say is there never was a dull moment around Marvin. He was one of a kind. He loved pulling pranks and his laugh was so real, especially when he got one of his pranks over on someone. I will miss him. He was a good friend.
