Vivian G. Fox, 105, of Mountain View, passed away on May 26, 2019 at home. She was born on May 8, 1914 in Spur, Texas to Walter and Teresa Kearney Garrett. She attended Roswell High School and then went on to beauty school, and was a cosmetologist for 30 years. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ.
She had a large family that she loved dearly. She is survived by her daughter Faunette Crymes of Mountain View; two sons, Stephen Fox of Prescott, Arizona and Donald Fox (Marsha) of Rice Washington; one sister, Lila Watkins (Donald) of Fairwill, Texas; many grandchildren to the sixth generation, and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by this large family who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Melvin D. Fox; her son Walter C. Newlin; three sisters, Adygene De Paulo, Claytie Cole, Madge Lassiter; one brother, Clint Garrett; grandson, Walter L. Newlin and son-in-law Paul J. Crymes.
Graveside service will be Sunday, June 2, 2019, 1:00 PM at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Farmington, New Mexico. Her great grandson Jeff Haney will be officiating.
