Shirley Alagene (Sutterfield) Richardson, 98, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. Shirley was born on March 22, 1921 in Dewitt, Arkansas to the late Oscar Moore and Era Flo (Morrison) Sutterfield. Shirley was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Timbo, Arkansas. She was a homemaker, seamstress, gardener, and farmer. She retired from the Blanchard Shirt Factory in Mountain View, Arkansas. Shirley was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.
Shirley is survived by her children, Doris Jean Hamilton, Donna Fae Moore and husband Charles, Roger D. Richardson, Janet Fisk and Gary Lynn Richardson; one brother, Charles Bryce Sutterfield; eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and fifteen great-great grandchildren; along with many extended family and friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Moore and Era Flo (Morrison) Sutterfield; husband, Fay A. Richardson; sister, Irma Wright; one daughter, Judy A. Ramsey, and two great-grandchildren, Ashley Mahoney and Aiden McCurley, and grandson, Jason Witt.
Visitation is Saturday, May 4, 2019, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Roller Coffman Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services are Sunday, May 5, 2019, 2:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church in Timbo, Arkansas with Brother Danny Robbins and Charles Moore officiating. Interment is at Alco Cemetery in Alco, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Shane Ramsey, Lee Fisk, Jeremy Baker, Larry Richardson, Bill Richardson, and Ryan Menasco. Honorary pallbearers are Mark Hamilton, Christopher Hamilton, Anthony Hamilton, Tom Menasco, Joe Jones, Brian Long, Bob Cowell, Chance McCurley, and Jospeh Strode.
Roller Coffman Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.
