March 30, 1947 - March 23, 2019

JB Calvin Deavers, age 71 of Marshall, Arkansas went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 23rd, 2019 at his home with family at his side. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on March 30th, 1947 to John Calvin Deavers and Blanche McGill Deavers.

JB served in the United States Coast Guard during the beginning of the Vietnam War. He was an ace motorcycle mechanic and once built thirteen motorcycles for a show and they all won blue ribbons. He was able to fix anything. Dad had a special place in his heart for every child in our family and loved each one dearly. He would come thousands of miles to rescue one of his family members and has many times. JB was a wonderful husband and father. You could always tell him anything. He accepted everyone for just who they were. He was our anchor and he will be missed so much.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Diane Pillsbury Deavers; sons, John Deavers and Christopher Deavers; daughters, Jessica Freeman and Charlotte Housley; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Denise Deavers Burton and Ladonna Deavers Warner; one brother, Gaylon Deavers; and numerous nieces and nephews who were so special to him.

JB is preceded in death by his parents, John and Blanche Deavers; brother, Al Deavers; and sister Ravena.

A memorial celebration will be held for JB at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 30th, 2019 at the home of his daughter, Charlotte, 885 High Street in Leslie, Arkansas.
