James Robert Johnston Jr., 79, of Memphis, Tennessee died Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Mr. Johnson was born on January 20, 1940 in Elaine, Arkansas to James Robert Johnson Sr and Minnie G. McMillian Johnston. He was of the Baptist Faith, and retired from Atlas Wire and Cable as the Warehouse Manager.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Johnston of Memphis, TN; four sons, James Randall Johnston of Hernando, MS; John Patrick Johnston and Alan Christopher Johnston (Diane) and Jay Woodrow Johnston (Krissy) all of Memphis, TN; two brothers, Jerry Johnston of Elaine, AR; and David Johnston of CA; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to service time at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena, Arkansas with burial following at Sunset Memorial Park.
