Ruby Dean (Spears) Johnson, 82, of Shannon Hills passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018. She was born December 7, 1935 in Alexander, Arkansas to the late William and Winnie Childress. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husbands, Howard M. Spears and William Johnson; daughter, Brenda Johnson, and siblings, Vaughen Childress, Darvin Childress, Doyle Childress, Lonnie Childress, Carl Childress, Miller Childress, Woodrow Childress, and Dora Pierce.
Ruby was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She will be lovingly missed by her many family members and friends.
Survivors include seven sons, Jimmy Spears (Glenda) of Benton, Danny Spears (Joyce) of Benton, Tony Spears of Mabelvale, Don Spears (Anita) of Sheridan, Darvin Spears (Annette) of Jasper, Carl Spears (Janice) of North Little Rock, and Allen Spears (Karen) of Bryant; two sisters, Violet Mitchell and Irene Welch; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 10, 2018 in the chapel of Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery with Rev. David Johnson officiating.
A time of visitation will be from 6:00 8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 9, 2018 at the funeral home.
