A note from your English teacher (second draft):

You'd probably be surprised, but ever since I my Subaru, I look at it once in awhile and think of you and the times you talked about cars in my class.

I remember your merciful sense of humor as you smiled at the Honda adventure stories I told during breaks from lessons. You gave me advice on selling that car. You were excited to talk about vehicles, even with an English teacher.

We talked cars when you came back to visit my classroom. I was just recently hoping I'd get to tell you of my latest vehicular mishap. I had already imagined the look and the disarming tone you would use as you responded to my tale. I will miss the special way you had of talking to your classmates, your teachers, most everyone.

I offer my deepest condolences to your former classmates, your many friends, and your family.

You'd probably be surprised, but ever since I bought my Subaru, I look at it once in awhile and think of you.

I remember your merciful sense of humor as you smiled at my Honda adventure stories and gave me advice on selling that car. Then you were excited for me getting a new vehicle, and we talked cars when you came back and visited me last school year. I was just recently looking forward to the day I'd get to tell you of my latest vehicular mishap. I had already imagined the look and the disarming tone you would use as you responded to my tale. I will miss the special way you had of talking to most everyone.

As my own heart hurts, I offer my deepest condolences to your family and your many friends.
