Elbert "Hoppy" Towery, 82, of Osceola, AR, went on his journey to Heaven June 14, 2018. He was born March 18, 1936 to Troy and Vera Towery in Tupelo, MS. He was a retired Farmer and became a member of Little River Baptist Church in 1975. He loved taking care of his chickens and goats and he loved spending time with his big ole family. Survivors include his daughters: Betty (Tommy) Carter, Vickie (Frank) Snyder and Jackie Towery; sons: Elbert Wayne (Phyllis) Towery, Bobby Towery and Joey (Tracy) Towery; eleven grandchildren; Kenneth (Liz) Carter, Lynn Snyder (Melvin Harvey), Christy (John) Jewell, Phillip (Hunter) Brown, Kyel Brown, Deonna Towery, Tootie Carter, Christopher (Hannah) Snyder, Annie Towery, JoJo Towery and Hudson Towery; ten great-grandchildren: Matt, Zac, Kaelin, Pearl, Jeremiah, Addy, Phil Phil, Spencer, Christopher Ryan II and Winston; brother: James Towery; sisters: Luvelle Turney and Lula Pearl Turney. He was preceded in death by his wife: Darlene Lang Towery; parents; brothers: Charles "Cowboy" Towery, Cecil Towery and Olen Towery; sister: Lola Bell Turner and great-grandson: Gabriel Schley Jewell.
