My dear Aunt Ona had a huge influence in my heart. From the time when I was a little girl I would love to spend the weekend at Aunt Ona and Uncle Clayton's house. There was always lots of laughter and fun to be had. My cousin Mary Ann was like a big sister to me. She, her brother Buddy, and all of my other cousins were my extended family. Loved our dinners at the park and while the adults talked and drank iced tea, we cousins would go to the Memphis Zoo. I felt like such a big girl to be able to be with them without my parents. Aunt Ona was known for her good cooking. My husband absolutely loved to eat her chicken & dumplings! I will miss her forever more but I know she's in her Heavenly home and having a grand family reunion. May God bless each of my family members as they grieve and honor her tomorrow. I am sad I can't be there with you but my heart will be! Love you, Aunt Ona, rest in peace.
