Sharon & Family,
Ted "finished the race" and he did so with strength and honor. Ted and I had many many talks about our best friend and Savior Jesus Christ. Now, he can enjoy being in His Presence after serving Him so faithfully. He set a good example for everyone by the way he lived and I will never forget the amount of faith he displayed whenever we talked. He never failed to let everyone know that he was a Christian first. and foremost. His work at the VA was another opportunity for God to use him and show the world His love through Ted. I know you miss him more than words can express. May you find comfort in knowing that you can see him again.

Brother Ted was a great teacher, mentor, and most of all, a friend. He taught me the meaning of " Somebody has to do it."; When work had to be done, and that was is High School! I looked up to him, he had alot of patience with me. He was a man with a deep heart.
May God embrace his wife and daughters with love and comfort.

The world has lost a great man. I feel very lucky to have had Ted as a friend. I always enjoyed his company. He would always brag on his family and always try to make someone smile. Ted will be missed for sure. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

My Sweet Bud!
You were always so special to me. You had your big beautiful smile from the day you were born and you always kept me laughing. Your kindness and sweetness has been passed on to your wonderful girls and your beautiful grandchildren. You will always be remembered.
I love you - Aunt Marty & Uncle Bob

To the Dorsett Family,
My condolences are with you.
From a friend at the VA OI&T service.

You all are in our thoughts and prayers. Let us know if we can do anything for you.

I don't even know what to say. This doesn't seem possible. I'm expecting daddy d to pop out from around the corner and this all be a joke. I could not ask for a better adopted dad and family. Daddy D would always tell me he loved my smile "Cause people who smile know the big guy!" I remember getting out of church and going to eat "at the place where they skate to ya". He never could remember the name Sonic! The words he spoke to me and the jokes he told I'll never forget. I'll always love you, miss you, and cherish every moment I had with you. Save me a mansion by yours so we can party all night when I get there! Daddy D its my turn to tell you "Get down with your bad self!!!" I love you.
Your lil Sweet Baby Ray,
Carol

Sherry and girls: I don't think you will ever know the positive impact Ted had on so many people. He was a constant joy to everyone that had contact with him, stopping at nothing to make you smile. Personally, he made the most significant impact on who I am as a professional today. My love for computers and technology grew from his mentoring in that small computer lab at Fairview. I remember his answer for what seemed like every question was "depends on the whether" :-) what a nut. Someday I'll get the courage to try his peanut butter and mustard sandwiches that he loved so much! Thank you Ted for everything you gave, and I truly look forward to seeing you again!

I would like to extend my condolances to Ted's family as they as well as the VA have lost a one of the good guys. I will miss having a good ol cup of "Navy" coffee with Ted before the phones started ringing at the Help Desk. Ted really loved his wife and kids and was so proud of all of them. God Bless

I remember Ted as a most helpful CAVHS computer help desk guy and I am thankful that I had the opportunity to work with him even if it was only by telephone. Ted was kind to me each and every time I spoke with him about computer issues.
I pray for everyone who is hurting and that you will lean into God's loving arms as He wraps them around you to provide you His Love and Comfort.

Ted,
Thank you for all the Little Moments of Big Magic you contributed to the children of North Central Arkansas. You will be missed greatly. Your family are in our hearts and our prayers.
From All of Us at Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Central Arkansas

To the Dorsett Family;
Some of my fondest memories at CAVHS were made during the time I worked with Ted. We had many conversations but some of the most enjoyable were listening to him speak about his family, specifically "Momma and the girls." I appreciate having the opportunity of working with such a fine man and maintaining such a wonderful friendship over the past 20 years. He was like a brother to me and would go out of his way to assist me as though I was his sister. I am sure many others at this facility, his church and the community feel the same way about him and will miss his cheerfulness and good humor.
Your family was so blessed to have him, but I believe I am just as blessed to have known and befriended him.
My prayers are with you,
Lavern Esters and Family

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time in the loss of your loved one.

Ted was always so helpful when I called the help desk. When thanked he would ask me to send him brownies and exclaim "digital brownies are so good, yum, yum." He was a very positive man and so proud of his family as we usually ended the conversation with stories about families and grandchildren. I will always remember his cheerful greetings and upbeat outlook.

we have lost a remarkable man with Ted's passing.
someone who enjoyed life and loved to laugh and
joke. and my prayers will be you and the family.
I will so miss you love ya.

Although I never had an occasion to work with Ted, I felt like I knew him from my numerous calls to the Help Desk. He was always a big help and the most pleasant person to talk to. He will be missed.

Ted was always in such a great mood when I would call with a computer problem-I really enjoyed talking with him. I will miss him greatly as he always was a help. My prayers will be with you all.

I knew Ted from the Help Desk. He always had a kind word and was never at a loss for patience and understanding when we called. What a great guy! My sympathies to his wife and family. He always spoke so proudly of his daughters. You all meant so much to him. God bless you all.

Uncle Ted, Aunt Agnes, Julie, Sherry and Family,
It breaks my heart to hear of your loss. Bud was always such a funny, loving and happy person. He always loved and adored his family. He will be dearly missed. I wish I could be with you, I miss you all. I know how hard it is to deal with the loss of a loved one, but you can take comfort on knowing he is with our Lord and you will again be reunited. Love you all, Vicki, Paul and Kids

Bud--In Julie's note she says that she is your only sister. I guess that makes me your only brother-in-law. I thank you so much for always treating me as a brother, and always having time to tell me new jokes and to make life more enjoyable. I know the angels in heaven are enjoying being with you right now.

My prayers are with the family.

I am so sorry for the loss of Ted. He was one of the most positive people I have ever known. He was a ray of sunshine!! He helped all those who needed assistance. He will be missed by many. God bless the family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Brother Ted's family. He was a great man with a sweet heart. We rejoice in knowing we will see him again one day.
Prayers and Blessings,
Matt Reynolds and family.

I met Ted over the phone as an IT Specialist in the Help Desk section long before I came to work at Office of Information and Technology. He assisted me many times with my computer problems. Years later when I came to work for OI&T, I finally met Ted. He was just as kind, humble and respectful in person as over the phone. He will truly be missed. My sincere prayers goes out to Ted's family.

We have lost a remarkable man with Ted's passing. Someone who enjoyed life and loved to laugh and joke.
I will so miss you Love ya

While Ted and I never worked side-by-side, he was always helpful to me. I don't think I've ever met anyone who was prouder of his daughters & his family. Regardless of how he felt or what his circumstance, he always had an encouraging word for me. I pray that God bless his family and friends with the peace and comfort that only He can give.

Ted is with the Lord and the smile that is on his face in the picture posted here displays but a fraction of the joy he is experiencing now with Jesus. We will miss him and we are happy for him at the same time. God's peace be with you Sharon and with the girls. Ted is with a host of others cheering y'all on till you meet again in heaven.

I am sorry to say that I only knew Ted from phone conversations when I would call the Help Desk. I can tell you that he was most courteous, and also full of humor and happiness. I am truly sorry for your loss. May your memories and God's Grace comfort you.
Sincerely,
Marian

You were a blessing to me and will be miss.
John 5:24
Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgement, but has passed from death into life.
To a wife and daughter Melanie and other siblings keep the faith God is in control and Ted lives with him for ever until we all meet at the beautiful shores.

Sherry, my heart and prayers are with you and the girls. I will truly miss Ted, he was my buddy and it is so hard not to walk in and see him every day. It is so hard writing this. He always tried to make everyone around him smile. Karen, Sweet Pea, Angie, Nikole, Melanie, your dad was so crazy about his girls and he let EVERYONE know it and he was such a proud grandpa. I will truly miss him.

Mrs. Sherrie and Girls,

Julie,
Just wanted to let you and your family know that I am thinking about you and praying for you.

I knew Ted from working at the Arkla Federal Credit Union before it changed to Southern Gas Credit Union. Ted always was laughing, just like his picture shows and he was so funny. He had a voice that no one could miss and I liked that about him. He reminded me of his dad, who I also know, and he will be missed.

Uncle Ted, Aunt Agnes, Julie and family,
We are so very sorry to hear about Bud. He was a great guy and so much fun growing up. I am sorry you have all gone through this terrible time, but now there will be comfort in knowing Bud is with his Lord. With my love.

My prayers are with you all.

Daddy Dorsett, you will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of this wonderful man.
"If tears could build a stairway,
And memories a lane,

This man was THE best man that I have ever known. He always made me smile no matter what it took. He was there for anyone in need and would do without just to help others. He was the BEST daddy a girl could ask for. I know that he isn't hurting at all anymore and that makes me smile... It is really hard to smile at this time but I know that he would want us to be happy. I don't understand why God chose my daddy and I never will but as long he is at peace, I will be okay some day. I love you daddy and I hope you have a great party up there .... beacause if I know you...you are up there shaking your groove thang. :) I love you oh so much and I can't wait to see you again someday!
Your daughter,
Angie (*Lucky*)

I wish I could be there, but know you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I love you all.

My heart goes out to all of you. I hope you find comfort in the Lord, knowing that he is with you during this sad time. Bro. Ted's picture is so good, it really shows his personality. I remember him always having that smile at church. Let me know if I can help in any way.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Ted loved God, loved family and loved his country. He will be greatly missed. I love all you guys! May God give you peace, comfort and strength.

What a great picture of such a great man! Smiling is how I want to always remember him. Thank you for sharing him with us those last few days. I will never forget him.

With the passing of my brother, the earth has lost a wonderful man. A man that would not say or hurt anyone with unkind words. He always loved to make everyone laugh. He was my hero. I will miss my brother so much but I know that he is in heaven with God and Jesus. He is smiling down on all of us as I am writing this. He will be greatly missed and believe me a man that is truely loved by me. It has been hard for me to accept his death but I know he is not hurting or suffering any more. I love him with all of my heart.
