Carla Sue Gardner Willard was born December 3, 1952, in Rockford, Illinois to Raymond Gardner and Bonnie Greer Gardner Lovins. She died on Friday, September 19, 2008. Carla was a homemaker, and had worked at various jobs over the years, most recently working at the Dollar General Store and Hometown Market in Cave City. She was a 1970 graduate of Paragould High School.
She is survived by her husband, Charlie Willard of the home; five sons, Wayne Higgins of Paragould, Greg Jones of Paris, Charlie Willard, Jr. of Newport, Elby Willard of Paragould, James Willard of Clarksville, Tennessee; two daughters, Krista Scott of Ward and Kassie Willard of the home; her mother, Bonnie Lovins of Glencoe; three brothers, Keith Gardner of Beebe, Lee Lovins and Gene Lovins, both of Poughkeepsie; four sisters, Sandy Busby of Little Rock, Brenda Barker, Tina Weston, and Redonna Dean all of Cabot. 18 Grandchildren and 1 Great-Grandchild, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Gardner, and a brother, Randy Busby.
A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, September 22, at 11:00 a.m., at the Roller-Crouch McGee Chapel in Cave City, with Mike Willard officiating.
Memorials can be made to the Memorial Fund at the Arkansas Sheriff's Youth Ranch, P.O. Box 3964, Batesville, Arkansas 72503-9989.
