Herman "Ed" Rowe, 76, of Mountain Home passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2007.
Ed was born to Jesse James and Bertha (Weaver) Rowe on March 8, 1931 in Pocahontas, Arkansas. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He continued his affiliation with the USMC through a lifetime membership in the VFW. He was a Master Drywall Hanger with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 5 out of St. Louis, Missouri in his working years. He married the former Patricia Burgess on November 30, 1983 in Clayton, Missouri; and they moved to Mountain Home in 1993 after Ed's retirement. He loved to spend time with friends and family playing cards; playing the casinos; was a Cardinals baseball fan; and an excellent cook. Fishing the lakes was like a second career to him.
Ed is survived by his wife Patricia of the home; daughter Karen (Randy) Kraemer of St Louis; sons David Rowe and Larry Rowe, both of St. Louis; stepdaughters Susan (Mark) Lusk of Morgantown, West Virginia and Joyce (John) Gray of St. Louis; grandchildren: Amanda Kraemer, Scott Rowe, Amy Rowe, Chelsea Rowe, Shane Rowe, Jennifer Gray, Jodi Gray, James Payne, and Gregory Lusk; great-grandson, Devin Rowe; brothers James L. (Phyllis) Rowe and Charles and Margaret Rowe, all of Mountain Home; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be 5:00 9:00 p.m. Friday at Roller Funeral Home with the family in attendance; funeral service 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel, Reverend Larry Olsen officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.
