Mattie Marie Doss, 85, of Jonesboro, formerly of Bay Village, died Monday, March 20, at her residence. She was born in Bay Village, Arkansas to Gusstavous and Callie Hall Duke. Mrs. Doss was an avid Gardener and loved Quilting. She was a member of Bay Village United Methodist Church.
She is survived by four daughters, Roberta Horner and her husband Wilburn of Jonesboro, Joyce Brown and her husband Phillip of Wynne, AR. Omega Ford And her husband Larry of Millington, TN, Linda Nickle and her husband Preston of North Little Rock; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Doss of Shreveport, LA; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Langdon Doss, Sr.; two sons, Albert Langdon Doss Jr. and Walter Ray Doss; one brother; and one sister.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 23, at the Roller-Farmers Union Chapel with Paul Horner and George Fink officiating. Burial will follow in Bay Village Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include Shane Bell, Marvin Massey, Stanley Brown, Duane Bell, Sherrill Brown, and Donny Rodgers.
Honorary bearers will include G.L McCrackin, Jay Kelley, Reece Brown, Allen Young, Jim Goza, Arvil Brown, and George Bell.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.
