Clarence F. Cerny

Clarence Cerny, age 80 of Mountain Home died Thursday, January 25, 2007 at his residence. He was born March 9, 1926 in Oak Park, Illinois to the late Charles and Clara (Sokol) Cerny.

Mr. Cerny married Nancy Thatcher September 1, 1951 in Congress Park, Illinois. He was a retired Machinist. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving during WWII and the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post #52, Moose Lodge #1953, United States LST Association and was a former Boy Scout and Cub Scout leader.

Mr. Cerny is survived by his wife: Nancy of the home, two sons: Glenn Cerny and wife Colleen of Mountain Home and Wayne Cerny of Forest View Illinois, two daughters: Nancy Grenvich and husband Richard of Forest View, Illinois and Carol Cerny of Mountain Home, one brother: Edward Cerny and wife Diane of Forest View, Illinois, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 29, 2007 at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 3:00 9:00 p.m. Sunday with the family in attendance at the funeral home. Military honors will be provided by North Central Arkansas Veterans Council Alley White American Legion Post #52.

Interment will be in Baxter Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
