Sherry Renee Waters

of Muskogee, OK

June 3, 1964 - March 20, 2026

Sherry Renee Waters, 61, a resident of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Friday, March 20, 2026. She was born June 3, 1964, in Ozark, Arkansas, to Johnny Andrew and Margaret Shirley (Whitaker) Reed.

Sherry and her family lived in Muskogee, Oklahoma primarily, and spent four years each in Dallas, Texas, and North Little Rock, Arkansas. She worked as a waitress, then a stylist, and as an OTR truck driver. Sherry was a very good and safe truck driver in 48 states and Canada. She drove all the big cities like Los Angeles, Oakland, San Jose, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, all the boroughs of New York, Washington D.C., Baltimore, and down the east coast, including throughout Florida which she really enjoyed. Any big city you could name, Sherry has driven through. She also had a deeply caring side. At the funeral of a friend's father, Sherry met a young lady with a baby. The young mother called two weeks after the service to ask if Sherry would keep her baby until she was out of rehab. She cared for this little guy for the best part of seven years, during which time her mother-in-law was diagnosed with dementia. Once again, Sherry stepped up and cared for her too. About seven years after the little boy returned to his mother, he found Sherry on the internet and, along with his little brother, connected with the family again. Sherry held the line and kept the family together in God's love through difficult times and with her support the boys graduated high school. Sherry began to have lung and breathing problems leading to many bouts with pneumonia. She had lots of friends and people loved her, which was no accident. Sherry showed love and was deeply loved. There was no one like her and while she will be missed, what will carry her family through is the knowledge that they will see her again.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Margaret Reed; and her brother, Kenneth Reed.

Sherry is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Paul Allen Waters of Muskogee, Oklahoma; her sons Tony Schlieker, and Turner Schlieker; her grandchildren, Anthony Schlieker, Remi Nicole, and Renee Abney; her brothers Johnny Reed of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Randy Reed of Muskogee, Oklahoma; her sister Theresa Lamproe of Russellville, Arkansas; her nephew, Gary; her nieces, Karen, Cassie, Kenethia, and Kelly; many grandnieces and grandnephews; and numerous other family and friends.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 27, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville, Arkansas, officiated by Danny Scott. Burial will follow at West Mt. Zion Cemetery in Hartman, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Tony Schlieker, Turner Schlieker, Johnny Reed, Randy Reed, Gary Reed, and Karen Lambert.
