Maxine McClain Baker Yingling, 105, resident of Conway, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026.
Maxine was born on January 30, 1921, in Lacey, Arkansas, to Anna Elizabeth McClain and David Wesley McClain. She lived a long and full life devoted to her family. Maxine was a homemaker who took great pride in caring for those she loved and creating a welcoming home for family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Derwood McClain, Ervin McClain, Mervin McClain, and Terrel McClain; her husbands, Earl Baker and Robert Yingling; her children, Stephen Baker and Terri Dykes; and her stepchildren, Marian Eagle and Lloyd Yingling.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Pauline Stell; her children, Dennis Baker, David Baker, and Judi Keeth; her stepdaughter, Joyce Yingling; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and numerous step-grandchildren.
Maxine was a woman of faith and a faithful member of the Church of Christ. Her favorite scripture was Isaiah 40:31.
A family graveside service will be held at a later date in Crossett, Arkansas.
Maxine will be remembered for the many lives she touched across generations through her kindness and encouraging words. While she will be deeply missed, we find comfort in knowing she is now with God. Her kindness, generosity, and deep love for her family and friends will always be remembered.
