Jennifer "Jennie" Owen Coleof Little Rock, AR
March 22, 1955 - February 18, 2026
Jennifer ''Jennie'' Owen Cole, 70, passed away peacefully at home on February 18, 2026.
Born on March 22, 1955, in West Lafayette, Indiana, Jennie grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She attended the University of Missouri, where she studied Home Economics, a field that reflected her practical sensibility and creativity.
Jennie married the love of her life, Roger Cole, in 1986 at Highland Park United Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas. Together they built a life centered on family and shared traditions.
Early in her career, Jennie worked in publishing before stepping away to devote herself to raising her family. Once her children were in school, she embraced her independent spirit and in 2003 opened Crown Trophy in Little Rock. She proudly owned and operated the business for more than two decades, helping celebrate countless milestones across the city, championships, academic achievements, retirements, and community accomplishments. She believed in recognizing hard work and took pride in doing things the right way.
Jennie was strong-willed, boisterous, and fiercely independent. She stood firm in her convictions and was never afraid to speak her mind. Her sincerity and righteous sense of right and wrong were matched by a dry sense of humor that those closest to her especially treasured.
She was a devoted wife and a loving mother to Callie Cole, Chris Cole and his wife Nikki, and Carter Cole and his wife Hailey. She was a proud parent of Pulaski Academy and valued the years spent supporting her children in their school activities and accomplishments. Her most treasured role was being ''Gramma'' to her granddaughter, Harper Cole, who brought her deep pride and joy. Jennie was also excitedly anticipating the arrival of another grandchild this fall to Chris and Nikki.
Jennie loved cheering on the Razorbacks, whether making the trip to Fayetteville or tuning in from home.
On Friday nights, she could often be found in her and Roger's usual spot at the bar at Chenal Country Club.
Jennie is survived by her husband, Roger Cole; her mother, Mary Owen; her brother, Jay Owen and his wife, Linda, of Tucson, Arizona; her children and granddaughter; and many extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, George Owen, and her brother, Jack Owen.
A visitation will be held at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held at Chenal Country Club at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Guests are encouraged to wear bright colors to the celebration of life in her honor.
Jennie will be remembered for her strength, her conviction, and the pride she took in her family and community. Her legacy lives on in the family she loved and in the many trophies across Little Rock that quietly bear her touch.
