Barbara Mae Connett, lovingly known as Barb, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 8, at the age of 93 in Conway, Arkansas.

Born on March 29, 1932, in Nebraska City, Nebraska, Barb lived a long and full life marked by independence, generosity, and a deep appreciation for simple joys. Over the years, she found great happiness in making pottery and spending time fishing at her home on Lake Conway. She never turned down a cold beer and truly cherished visits to her favorite local restaurants, where she enjoyed not only the meals but the friendships she formed with familiar faces.

Barb was especially proud of her career with the campus police at the University of Central Arkansas, from which she retired with a strong sense of accomplishment and dedication to her community.

She is survived by her daughter, Julie Folkert (Dave); her daughter-in-law, Linda Connett; her granddaughter, Kristen Winer (Simon); her grandson, Ethan Folkert (Alysha); and her beloved great-grandchildren, Jackson Winer, Gunner Folkert, and Natalie Winer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Connett; her parents, Guy Frenzel and Clara Belle Frenzel (Smith); her son, Michael Connett; and her granddaughter, Courtney Connett.

Barb will be remembered for her spirited personality, her love of life's simple pleasures, and the deep pride she held for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, resilience, and fond memories that will be treasured by all who knew her.
