Moody Lewis Cook Jr., age 62, of Baldwyn, Mississippi, passed away on January 13, 2026, in Corinth, MS.

Moody was born on September 26, 1963, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Moody Cook Sr. and Madlyn Smith. He attended Falkner High School and spent many years working as a roofer, a trade that reflected his strong work ethic and hands-on nature.

A Christian man, Moody found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, riding around, playing pool, and spending time outdoors. He especially enjoyed raising his chickens and caring for his dogs, passions that brought him peace and happiness.

Moody is survived by his sons, Nathan Cook and Chris Cook; his daughter, Cheyenne Kilzer; and his five grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Cook; his parents; his brothers, Tommy McGill and Jimmy McGill; his sister, Carolyn McGill; and two grandchildren.
