David Lee Treadaway, JR., born July 14, 1959, in Helena, Arkansas departed this life on January 13, 2026.
David attended Barton High School until he chose to serve in the United States Marine Corps at the Rank of LCp1. After he completed his Marine Corps service, he worked a variety of warehouse and transportation jobs from which he happily entered into retirement in 2022.
He was a devoted son to his parents, and he was proud to be a resident of Lexa, Arkansas.
He enjoyed Rock and Roll music, grilling and smoking meats, model trains, anything related to military planes or ships and hot topic discussions of religion and politics.
He faithfully attended and served the Lord at the Lexa Methodist Church, opening the doors every Sunday.
He is preceded in death by his father, David Treadaway Sr.
He is survived by his mother, Gloria Treadaway; sister, Pam Treadaway and Karen Wesson; a close Aunt, Donna Prichard; Uncles, Earl Prichard and Julian Treadaway; host of cousins.
The family would like to acknowledge the care and compassion given David by the many doctors, nurses and staff of Baptist Medical Center Little Rock and the Veterans Medical Hospitals in Little Rock and Fort Roots, North Little Rock.
A graveside service honoring the life of David Lee Treadaway, Jr will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Interment will follow. Brother Buddy Hammner.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lexa Methodist Church PO Box 22 Lexa, AR or the Lexa Baptist Church.
