Karen Carr Holden, born April 9, 1958, passed away at her daughter's home Saturday, December 27, 2025.

Karen is survived by her daughters, Marcey (Jim) Hutcheson and Christina ''Chrissy'' Holden both of Yellville, Arkansas; two granddaughters, Hunter (Cory) McKnight, Cady Jennings and a great granddaughter, Zoey McKnight all of Yellville, Arkansas; her mother Faye Walker Carr of Amite, Louisiana; two sisters, Janis (Armand) Riendeau of Jacksonville, Florida and Kim Carr of Redwood City. California; two nephews, John Riendeau of Jacksonville, Florida and Chris (Annie) Riendeau of Sorrento, Illinois and a very close friend, Yvonne Stokes of Amite, Louisiana.

She is preceded in death by her father, Robert M. Carr, her brother, Patrick Carr and a niece Mary Anne Riendeau.

Karen was born in Anahuac, Texas, and lived in Texas for 12 years until the family moved to Melbourne, Australia. She then moved to West Africa, Malaysia, and Louisiana before making Arkansas her home in 1994. Karen worked as an LPN at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Harrison, Arkansas until her health took her from nursing.

She had a passion for caring for people. She was strong in her faith; she personally knew and loved Jesus. She was a 10-year leukemia survivor having undergone a stem cell transplant in 2015. She knew Jesus gave her the strength to fight that and carried her through the trials of that. She loved her New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers. She loved her cats; they brought her so much joy.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Yellville First Baptist Church at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
