Brenda Joyce (Williams) Stone, 75, of Newark passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025.
She was born January 14, 1950 in Wabash, Arkansas to Eddie Franklin Williams and Avis Faye (Richardson) Williams.
Brenda attended Sulphur Rock Pentecostal Church. She loved attending church and serving people. She loved people, but God was her main love. Reading the Bible daily was first place. She received her GED at the age of 63 and that was a big deal for her.
Some of her hobbies included sewing, puzzles, crossword puzzles, fishing, arrowhead hunting, cooking, and camping with family. Brenda worked in a nursing home. Her passion was loving and serving others. She was also a caregiver for some of the elderly church members.
Brenda endured a lot of hardships all her life but came out a strong, sweet, beautiful woman. She had so much love for her family and her church family, and most of all for the Lord. She will be dearly missed and will never be forgotten.
Survivors include three daughters, Ronda Stone of Newark, Juanita Smith of Pleasant Plains, and Amanda Stone of Newark; two brothers, James Henry Williams of Sulphur Rock, and Larry Gene Williams of Sulphur Rock; two sisters, Pamela Wood of Newark, and Cynthia Moye of Cave City; two grandchildren, Coty Smith, and Lacie Smith, and four great-grandchildren, Caleb, Connor, Paityn, and Bentley Smith.
She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Joseph, Jeff, Jerry, and Tommy Williams, and two sisters, Wilma Brown and Carolyn Hutchison.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 11:00am at the First Pentecostal Church in Sulphur Rock with Rev. Danny Rodgers officiating.
