David Hopper, age 81, of Osceola, Arkansas, passed away on December 15 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Born on October 12th in Tomato, Arkansas, to Charles Theodore Hopper and Doris Palmer Hopper, David lived a life of kindness, hard work and devotion to family. He worked for over 45 years at Creative Foods in Osceola, where he made many lifelong friends. He enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors.
He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Dix (Matthew) of McCrory. Grandchildren, Kara Hanley (Matt), Talice Harper (Rick), Kyle Dix (Paige), Chantry Dix, Ella Dix, Valaree Dix. Great-grandchildren: Tyson Harper, Easton Harper, Kade Hanley, Kaylen Hanley, and Attalie Dix, who will arrive in March.
David is also survived by his youngest daughter, Cindy Hopper of Little Rock, who was not only his devoted caregiver but also his constant companion, advocate, and source of comfort. He will also be greatly missed by his loyal granddog, Beckett, who was rarely far from his side.
Additionally, David is survived by two brothers, Gary Hopper and Bobby Hopper, and five sisters: Nancy Adcock, Charlotta Caldwell, Beverly Badgley, Darlene Riney, and Yvonne Sattler. Along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
David was preceded in death by his loving parents, his sister Shirley Harshman, and his brother Wayne Hopper, both of Osceola, Arkansas.
He will be remembered for his cheerful stories, his quiet strength, and love for his family and cherished friends. His sweet spirit will be greatly missed.
