Alice Janell ''Nellie'' Daves Starkey, 87, of Conway passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. Born in Little Rock, on April 21, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Velton Daves, Sr.and Emma Ray (Graddy) Daves.

Mrs. Starkey was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed crocheting, sewing and spending time with her family. She especially loved having all of her grandbabies around. She was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Starkey was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Truman Alton Starkey, her parents as well as her siblings, Carolyn Fay Daves Robertson, Emma Jean Daves and Velton Daves, Jr.

Those left to mourn her passing are sons, Steven Alton and wife Melissa of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Scott Allen and wife Debra of Conway, Randall Todd and wife Jill of Springdale and Gregory Wayne and wife Michelle of Conway; daughters, Patti Gail Hunter and partner, Paul LaFleur and Paula Ann Kinggard, both of Little Rock; sister-in-law, Carol Daves and brother-in-law Jarrel ''JR'' Robertson both of Conway; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-
grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 10:00 am with services directly after at 11:00 am at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with Bro. Jacob Wesson officiating.

Nellie will be joining Truman on their 70th wedding anniversary at Oak Grove Cemetery. Drew Kinggard, Adam Hicks, Daniel Daves, Ryan Lassiter, Justin Lassiter and Luke Beaston will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
