Helen Shaffer, 88, of Mountain Home, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2025. She was born January 20, 1937, in Heber Springs, to the late Herman and Rena Horton. She was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed spending her time loving and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Tom) Meadows, three grandchildren: Allyson (Skyler) Wintle, Courtney (Casey) Cox and Joseph Meadows, three great grandchildren: Anabelle Riney, Cameron Cox and Ryan Wintle, sister, Betty Shinn, and her daughter-in-law, Sharon Shaffer. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Shaffer, her son, Steven Shaffer, her parents and brothers, Roy and Harrison Horton.
