Walter John Kirshberger, 91, a resident of Hensley, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2025, in Little Rock. He was born May 29, 1934, in Lutherville, to the late Ulrich and Helen (Steuber) Kirshberger.

In addition to his parents, Walter is preceded in death by his sister, Kathryn (Kirshberger) Schkade and brother, Carl Kirshberger.

Those who are left to cherish the memories of Walter are his loving wife of 57 years, Bonnie Lou (Ahrens) Kirshberger; two sons, Lang Kirshberger, and Steven and wife Linda Kirshberger; four grandchildren, Matthew, James and Weston Kirshberger and Lainey Kirshberger; along with many additional family and friends.

Walter graduated from Lamar High School and went on to attend Draughon Business College in Little Rock where he received training in radio and television. Walter worked in radio and television broadcasting in Fort Smith, Shreveport and Amarillo before taking a job with AETN at their KETS Channel 2 transmitter in Redfield, AR in 1966. He retired in 2002 after 36 years of service at AETN.

A funeral service for Walter will be held at 2:00 pm., Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Roller-Cox Funeral Chapel in Clarksville, with a visitation beforehand starting at 1:00 pm. Burial to follow at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery with Pastor Herb Swanson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Paul's Cemetery Fund, 155 N Cumberland St., Lamar, AR 72846.
