John "JE" Elmer Webbof Timbo, AR
July 31, 1947 - November 22, 2025
John Elmer ''JE'' Webb, 78, of Timbo, Arkansas, passed away on November 22, 2025. He was born on July 31, 1947, in Newnata, Arkansas, to William Elmer Webb and Nora May (Adams) Webb.
JE lived a life marked by kindness, service, and a genuine love for people. Over the years, he worked many jobs, but he was most known for his plumbing work alongside his brother, Ozell Webb. Together, they plumbed nearly every home in Stone County at one time or another, leaving a legacy of hard work and dedication in their community.
He later served as a jailer, where his compassion and ministry touched countless lives. JE befriended many of the inmates he worked with and often went out of his way to provide for them, buying shoes and other necessities without ever expecting anything in return.
A man with a true servant's heart, JE devoted much of his life to helping others. He volunteered his time to sit with the sick so their families could have a much-needed break, and during Christmastime he joyfully dressed as Santa Claus, bringing smiles to children throughout the community. JE was deeply loved, and his acts of kindness laid up many treasures in heaven. He was a faithful member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church in Onia, Arkansas.
Left to cherish his memory is his godson, Christopher Herschel Webb of Brookland, Arkansas; nephews Phillip (Melinda) Webb of Brookland, Arkansas, Joseph Kelley of Timbo, Arkansas, Steve (Kara) Webb of Lawton, Oklahoma, and John Webb of Mountain View, Arkansas; nieces Linda Lee and Robbie Moore, both of Mountain View, Arkansas; brother-in-law Ernest Kelley of Timbo, Arkansas; and a host of great-nephews, great-nieces, extended family members, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Sarah Berniece Kelley; his brothers, Howard Webb, Ozell Webb, and Christopher Columbus Webb; and his nephew, Douglas Kelley.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Roller Crouch Funeral Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Brother Roy Jones and Brother Junior Barham will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your favorite charity or your local church.
