Christopher Donald Crank, 64, of Greenbrier, AR passed away on November 18, 2025, at his home.

Chris was born on December 4, 1960, in Fort Smith, AR to Winfred D. Crank and Regina McClure.

Chris graduated from Fort Smith Northside high school in 1979 and immediately joined the workforce.

Chris was a passionate businessman and owned Photoplace, which eventually transitioned into The Portrait Center. He started the business in Conway, AR in 1990. He took school pictures at many schools in the area, including Wonderview, Bigelow, Perryville, and Western Yell County. One of his greatest passions was taking school photos and seeing the smiles on children's faces when he arrived to take pictures every year.

Chris was also an avid photographer of nature, including many waterfalls in the National Forest here in Arkansas as well as other various nature shots. For Chris, a perfect day would typically consist of driving to the middle of the National Forest with his dog, Ellie, in tow and enjoying the peacefulness of nature.

He also went on various trips to the National Forest with the Game and Fish Commission to tag black bears.

Chris was also an avid sports fan. One of his first loves was Arkansas Razorbacks basketball and he was able to attend the 1995 Regional Final in Kansas City with his family. He also enjoyed watching racing, particularly NASCAR. Chris attended various races such as, Talladega, Daytona 500, Darlington, Charlotte, and Rockingham.

Chris was a member of the Conway Optimist Club for many years and loved helping the community whenever he could. He was very involved with the Angel Tree Foundation with the Conway Optimist Club.

Chris was survived by his sons Jordan and Jonathan, as well as his daughters-in-law, Cody and Ashley. He was also survived by his best friend, his Goldendoodle Ellie.
Preceding Chris in death are his father, Don, his sister, Robin, and his mother, Regina.
