Charlotte Allison Millerof Maumelle, AR
June 29, 1955 - November 21, 2025
Charlotte Allison Miller, 70, of Maumelle AR, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025, in her home. Charlotte was born June 29, 1955, in Ruston, Louisiana to the late Dr. B. Gray and Voncille Allison. She brought joy to the family growing up and continued to be an encourager into adulthood.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Calvin Miller, and her in-laws Errol and Ruth Miller of Little Rock. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Rama Miller; her daughter Allison Miller McLean and son-in-law Caleb McLean; her sister, Suzanne Allison Grigsby (Charlie); her brother, Gray M. Allison (Anita); her sister-in-law, Carla Daniel (Jim); numerous nieces and nephews who loved her and considered her a second mother; as well as a number of cousins whom she treated like brothers and sisters.
Charlotte surrendered her life to Jesus Christ as a young girl when she was driving back from a revival meeting where her dad had preached. ''Papa'' led her through the plan of salvation and prayed with her in the car. She faithfully served Jesus throughout her life impacting many others along the way. After the sudden death of her 17-year-old son Calvin, the Lord led her to begin a non-profit called ''Helping Hurting Hearts.'' Through this ministry over the last 13 plus years, she has shared Bible verses as well as devotionals and booklets to help people through grief. She spent literally hundreds of hours listening, encouraging, and praying with others. She was a member of Parkway Place Church in Little Rock where she taught a ladies' connect group alongside several others. She was also a member of the choir and the leadership team.
Charlotte enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was always smiling and faced life with great optimism. Charlotte had a new field of ministry beginning in June of 2023 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She began to bake brownies to take to the cancer center and hand them out along with scripture cards. If someone was hurting the day she was there, she would pray with them. As the cancer progressed to her liver, and finally to the fluid around her brain, she was still smiling and thinking of others. We are so grateful to Dr. Rhonda Gentry, her staff, and others who cared for her at CARTI. We also want to thank the Hospice staff who served her and us as a family during her last days.
Interment will be at Forrest Hills Cemetery, 10201 Hwy 5 N, Alexander, Arkansas, on Wednesday, November 26th at 10 a.m. Visitation for Charlotte will be at Parkway Place Church, 300 Parkway Place Drive, Little Rock, beginning at noon.
