James Otis "Buddy" Bryant, 79, of Byram, Mississippi, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at St. Dominic's Hospital. He was born on March 28, 1946, to Douglas E. Bryant, Sr. and Ruby Neil Bryant of Keo, Arkansas.
Buddy was proceeded in death by his parents, Doug and Ruby Bryant; his sister, Syble Standridge, and brother in-law, Lloyd Standridge; as well as his brothers, Doug Bryant, Jr. and Edgar "Butch" Bryant.
He is survived by his daughter and son in-law, Charlotte and Keith Hollis; his grandchildren, Will Hollis, Hannah Hollis, Rachel Haley (Reese), and Jacob Hollis; his sisters, Mary Welch and Frances McElyea; his brothers, Larry Bryant (Shirley), Roger "RD" Bryant, and Jon Bryant; his sisters-in-law, Pat Bryant and Carmen Bryant; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Buddy had a lifelong passion for the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing. His love for nature was matched only by his love for his grandchildren, who were always close to his heart.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Roller-England Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 11:30 AM at Keo Cemetery in Keo, Arkansas.
