James Obbie Wood (JBo), 68, was born September 7, 1957 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Obbie L. Wood and the late Ollie (Pifer) Wood. He went to be with the angels on Sunday, November 9, 2025.

He is preceded in death by his mom, Ollie Wood and sister, Shelby Scruggs.

He is survived by his dad, Obbie Wood; siblings, Marie Scruggs (Bill), Gil Wood (Ellen), Spurgy Wood, and Sherri Wood; three daughters, Mandy Tweedle Damon), Jamie Hernandez (Sam), and Ashley Harris (Chad); 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

James loved gatherings with his large family at his home or favorite restaurant, East End Café. James' favorite pastime was dirt track racing. He raced all over Arkansas for many years before he started helping his nephew, Scooter Scruggs (#43) both at the track and in the shop, which has always been a family affair. If he wasn't at the race track you could find him reading a western novel.

James was truly loved and will forever be greatly missed. There will be a Memorial Service to honor his life on Monday, November 24 at 2pm officiated by Brother George Yarberry at New Hope Nazarene 5519 Atwood Rd., Little Rock, AR. 72206
